Guilds are associations of artisans or merchants who control the practice of their craft in Temma. All guilds in Temma were granted letters patent by the City Council to enforce the flow of trade to their self-employed members, and to retain ownership of tools and the supply of materials. Many guilds have specific meeting places for their members, and some even have housings.
